HOLIDAY RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Your booking with Live the Dream Rentals is subject to the terms and conditions outlined below. It is important that you read and understand these terms and conditions before you book. We reserve the right to change all or part of these Terms and Conditions at any time and it is your responsibility to keep yourself updated on any changes. The latest copy will be displayed on our website.
1. MINIMUM STAY
1.1. There is a minimum stay of 7 nights during the Christmas Period.
2.1. A deposit of 25% of the total accommodation charge is payable upon booking. Bookings are not confirmed until this deposit is received.
2.2. Payment of the deposit constitutes the clients acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2.3. The balance of the booking must be received in full at least 30 days prior to occupancy. If this payment is not received we have the right to cancel your booking and relet the property.
2.4. You will receive a tax invoice on acceptance of your booking. If booking through a holiday rental booking site the invoice will come from the site
2.5. Payment must be received in Australian dollars net of any bank or other transaction charges
2.6. We accept payments by Direct Deposit, Visa or MasterCard. Credits cards will be charged a processing fee.
3. SECURITY BOND
3.1. A pre-authorised payment of at least $1000 will be made on your nominated credit card 2 days prior to your arrival at the Property. You must ensure that funds are available for this transaction. Should funds not be available we may charge a $45 re-processing fee.
3.2. The bond will be used to cover any breakages or damage to the Property incurred during your stay, any extra cleaning required plus any other charges required to bring the Property to the standard and condition it was prior to your entry.
3.3. Should the security deposit be insufficient to cover any such costs you will be liable for the additional costs and agree to pay us the additional balance on receipt of an invoice.
3.4. Once the Property has been inspected and has been left in a similar state to your arrival your pre-authorisation will be released less any outstanding charges if any are payable.
4. VARIATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS
4.1. If you wish to vary or cancel you booking please notify us immediately.
4.2. We recommend that all guest have travel insurance for their holiday.
4.3. Whilst every attempt will be made to accommodate a change in dates we are not obliged to accept any variations to the booking if we are adversely affected by the request and will instead treat the variation as a cancellation.
4.4. Should we be able to accommodate your request for changed dates we will charge a $400 rebooking fee.
4.5. If cancelling your booking, a refund will only be made to you when another booking has taken its place for the same dates and tariff less a $400 cancellation fee.
4.6. If booking through Stayz:
4.6.1. your deposit will be forfeited if you cancel your booking.
4.6.2. your entire booking amount will be forfeited if you cancel within 30 days of your intended arrival.
5. UNAVAILABILITY AND UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
5.1. The Management will make every effort to ensure that the Property is available as booked. However, the owners reserve the right to make alterations to the booking due to unforeseen circumstances.
5.2. If the Property becomes unavailable the Management will inform you immediately and endeavour to obtain suitable alternative accommodation, failing which any monies paid will be refunded in full.
6. CHECK IN AND DEPARTURE
6.1. Check in time is from 2.00pm on the arrival date and check out time is no later that 10.00am on departure date, in order to allow the Property to be prepared for the next guest.
6.2. Failure to depart by 10.00am may result in additional charges up to an extra days rental.
6.3. You must notify Management of expected arrival time and a contact mobile number at least 14 days before arrival.
6.4. Identification will need to be provided at the time of arrival/key collection.
7. DURING YOUR STAY
7.1. Instructions from Management and their caretakers of the Property, including Security concerning occupancy, property, health and safety and quiet enjoyment of the Property must be complied with.
7.2. Our properties are not available for rent for Bucks or Hens groups.
7.3. Parties cannot be held at the properties.
7.4. Our properties are located in residential areas. There is a 10.00pm to 8.00am outside noise curfew. During these times please move inside, close doors and keep noise to a minimum.
7.5. A security service will respond to any complaints from neighbours regarding anti-social or offensive behaviour, breaking of curfew or excessive noise.
7.6. If Security is called out to the property you will be charged for the call out fee and we may either issue a reminder warning of your terms and conditions or terminate your booking. If your booking is terminated we reserve the right to retain all monies paid including your security bond.
7.7. We do not accept schoolies. Minimum age to hire the property is 24.
7.8. Smoking is not permitted in the house at any time.
7.9. Keys and remotes are your responsibility during your stay. Should you lose a key or remote you will be charged a replacement fee.
7.10. The property will not be cleaned and linens will not be changed during your stay. You can request for this to occur at your expense.
7.11. Re-tuning of TV’s and or other entertainment equipment is not permitted. Should we need to reprogram the equipment we may charge a service fee.
7.12. All items must be placed in the correct storage area after use.
7.13. Number of guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation notice. Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed in advance.
7.14. Pets are not allowed under any circumstances.
7.15. Photographs and videos are not to be taken at the property for Commercial or Advertising purposes or for financial gain or benefit with the written consent of Management.
7.16. Do not tamper with any smoke alarm device.
7.17. Maintenance issues need to be advised to Management at the earliest opportunity so we can rectify the situation quickly.
7.18. You must allow repair/service technicians’ access to the Property during reasonable hours.
8. SWIMMING POOLS
8.1. You must not use glass or glass products in the swimming pool area.
8.2. Children must not use swimming pools when an adult is not present.
8.3. Do not run around pool areas.
8.4. Pool equipment is not to be tampered with. If pool equipment is not found the same way it was supplied upon entry, additional charges will apply.
9.1. Please ensure you only utilise the beach area and/or jetty directly in front of the Property.
9.2. Do not leave any items on the beach/waterfront unattended. Canal’s and rivers are tidal and any items left unattended on the beach/waterfront will float away.
9.3. If life jacket are supplied at a Property, they must rinsed with clean water and cleaned free of sand after use.
9.4. If water sport equipment has been supplied with a key to access them, when they are not in use it is your responsibility to ensure they are securely locked away.
9.5. All persons using water sport equipment must use a life jacket.
9.6. If you are not familiar with water sports and activities we recommend you only make use of equipment provided with an experienced person.
10. DAMAGES, BREAKAGES, THEFT/LOSS
10.1. The Owners/Management take no responsibility for the tenant’s personal property during your stay.
10.2. You must lock all doors and windows when you leave the Property and it must be secured at night.
10.3. You must notify us immediately of any damages, breakages or theft. Management may deduct from your security bond the amount required to repair or replace any items and a $45 administration fee.
11. DAY OF DEPARTURE
11.1. The Property should be vacated on time and secured.
11.2. The Property must be left in a clean and tidy condition.
11.3. All food must be removed from fridges, all rubbish put in the appropriate recycle (yellow) and waste (green) council rubbish bins provided. All cutlery and crockery must be washed and put away.
11.4. All furniture and furnishings must be left in the position they were in when you arrived.
11.5. Standard exit cleaning and rubbish removal is included in your tariff however if the property is left dirty there may be an additional cleaning fee and there will be an additional $70 fee if the BBQ is not left in a clean state.
